Montréal goes non-smoking

This lovely city is about to get nicer for me. Montréal is going non-smoking in all indoor enclosed public spaces. The law takes effect in about 40 minutes.

It's tempting to go play pool at midnight, but:

1) I'm sure it'll take a week or two for the residue smoke to actually clear out of the pool hall.
2) I'm *tired*

But there needs to be a game sometime soon... I'm thinking next Tuesday, 11pm, Berri and Mont-Royal, right above the Jean Coutu.

I'll have to say that there is some romantic character to the smoke-filled pool hall. A certain wispy danger, you might say.

Maybe you won't drink too much and pass out in the parking lot? Maybe you won't bruise a biker's ego and end up with a cue in the eye? Maybe you won't hit on someone's girlfriend and leave in an ambulance.

But the smoke would get you. Drifting up from cigaretted mouths. It'd get you in the end.

There's a pool hall at Berri and Mont Royal?

I've only been to the jungle-themed one near Papineau and Mont Royal. I think it's on the second floor, between the Dollarama and the little diner.

Yup. I'll look for the name of it when I walk past it again. It's a couple blocks from my place.
