Mouse hunting?

Not the plastic kind, the squishy furry kinda that need to GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE.

GRRR

Yesterday was visit 4? 5? from the exterminators. We got them to lay more traps. And this morning (I love my son dearly. Especially the opportunity to cuddle him to sleep at 4am. *sigh* I'm actually mostly serious. I've only been able to hold him for a few weeks now, and weaning means that I'm getting to do a lot more with him that only [livejournal.com profile] auzure_skies could do before. And how long will a child let himself be cuddled to sleep? This is just mixing poorly with the jetlag from the recent trip) I had the joy of watching the mouse run out from beside where one trap is, and behind the couch where another trap is, triggering neither of them.

What I really need is a flame thrower and a forgiving insurance company.

Apparently peanut butter works well, too.

sorry to ask

Sorry to ask, but you guys not vegan anymore? I understand the need to get rid of the rodents, but traps? I wonder if you have researched more humane options. Please don't take this as criticism, I have faced the same problem before (pidgeons) and I could come up with humane options to convince them that my window sill or hanging laundry was not a good place to shit on.

We are still vegan, but we're not planning on eating them... =)

More seriously, we started with humane options, no-kill options and such before going with the exterminator. With them, we tried some initial solutions and are working our way up with harder and harder options.

The problem is that mouse shit is toxic, and isn't safe for Leif. =( We were just away for 2 weeks, and there's mouse shit in all of his clothing, all of the towels and such. Unfortunately, it becomes a point of safety for Leif. It's not a situation I'm happy about.

I see, I would have been very surprised otherwise. Also it is completely different to have the problem inside as opposed to out the window.

Good like with the pest. I hope you can get rid of them soon.

Out the window, he could see the front of the arena, part of which was a small grove of redwood trees.

We continued on past the hauled out elephant seals to the southernmost grove of redwood trees, just north of Ragged Point.

Sometimes guys do think they are cute, but if you want to cover them up or you can use bare minerale by loreal or you can get the more expensive bare minerals.

Clearly, if one were ever to meet hot law school girls and subsequently convince them to take their clothes off, the TQ group would be the place (for the meeting, not the disrobing).

Have you looked into cat rental?

Also, FWIW, Lowe's sells inexpensive live traps for mice.
