Weekends, Sleep, and Singing

Katja and Adam came over this weekend, longtime friends of me and Angie's. Never try to out-drink someone who was trained by Aussies... On an empty stomach (and they've had food)... Oy... Spent most of Saturday recovering from that.

I seem to have been going through a bit of a depression spell lately. I'm now trying to make sure that I'm keeping on top of my sleep, exercise and meditation, and all of a sudden life seems to be going better. It probably doesn't hurt that it's now day light when I walk home, or that I've spent the last week basically ignoring my hacking so that I could read books or spend time with people.

I tentatively pitched the idea of a Universalist gospel choir to the music director at church. He seems to like the idea. It's not even that I'm having one of my thestic moments (I do occasionally, though), it's just that gospel music is so cool to sing.
