Apparently, the gestation period for a hippopotamus is eight months, which means that conception must have happened right when we were in Paris together. I think someone's got some 'splaining to do.

Also, now that this is public knowledge, congrats, and may the fear of the reality of impending parenthood not be debilitating.

Dude, this was much like waiting for YOUR arrival.

"We're working on it, kiddo."

"Mommy... are we going to get a baby soon?"
"Soon kiddo."

"Mommy.... where's the baby?"
"In my tummy. Can you feel this bump?"
"Yes. Did you eat it?"
"No. Babies grow in mommy's tummies."
"You sure you didn't eat it?"

Child awakes in the morning, and goes to her mother in the kitchen..
*heavy sigh* "Mommy, is the baby coming today?"
"I certainly hope not."
"Why?"
"Because we're going to Playland. I don't think the guy that runs the roller coaster really wants the baby to come today."
"Well HE hasn't been waiting forEVER like I have. Call the doctor and tell him to make the baby come. I'm bored and I want to play with him."

And just for the record... we were at Playland for about 3 hours before you decided to show up. I was RIGHT in the middle of a ferris wheel ride y'anno. ;)

Yay, so your suspicions were well founded. (By the way the second line is normally feint like that if you test very early when HCG levels are still very low, after a week or so there should be a good BOLD line)

However by my calculation conception occurred around Tuesday, May 30, 2006...

I think listing sexual endeavours should be compulsary on the activity reports! It would be interesting to analyse trends ... and to see who to point and laugh at ;P

And kids KNOW their parents HAD sex, they just don't want to know they still HAVE sex ;)

I think my comment got lost. I'm mailing you and Angie, and the bumpling a box. Just some little things until you determine what you need, then I can go through my stuff and see what I've got that's worth shipping. Love J and the kids :) I am hoping to get to Montreal this spring, somehow. It's so expensive for us to fly, even from Winnipeg, and rail is ridiculously more expensive. Greyhound takes like 3-days! Failing that I'm considering a road trip to the East coast when Liam is done school in early July, again it's a matter of funds. Stupid money.

Thanks so much! You're wonderful! I hope we'll see you in the spring, but we've actually been talking about Winnipeg for Xmas. We usually don't do family for the holidays, but it seems like we should this time so that the family can make happy-baby-noises at Angie while she's pregnant.

It sounds nauseating. I may need to come visit for a drink ;)
