I think I'm loosing my geeky edge. I noticed today that my cable ISP offers a 20Mb/sec down package to which I could subscribe. It's $15 a month more than my 10Mb/sec package. The problem is that I can't think of what I would use that kind of speed for. The line already cheerfully holds my internet phone calls without a blip or a drop and apt-get routinely tells me that it's doing 1MB/sec.

It's *almost* worth bumping down to the 7Mb/sec down package, since it would save me $30/month, and I'm fairly certain that I would never notice. When I started with Videotron, that's what I had anyway. They've just been slowly bumping up the speed without charging me more.
