UPS

I love UPS, I really do.

Their autoattendant: "Please speak want you want, you can say ..."
me: "Agent"
AA: "I'm sorry, I didn't understand that. You can say ..."
me: "Agent"
AA: "I'm sorry, I didn't understand that. You can say ..."
me: "Do I have to say 'Fucking Agent?'"
AA: "One moment please, I will transfer you to an agent."

I've found that saying utterly absurd phrases often works for getting around voice prompts. I once was able to speak to a human at Bell Sympatico (Canadian ISP) by saying "It no worky".

Take a deep breath

I believe it could be one of three things:
1. Their system must be checking for a heightened stress level in your voice and promptly relaying you to the agent.
2. Automatic redirecting is done based on the fact that the system didn't understand you 3 times in a row.
3. Its a timing issue because you kept cutting off the recording mid-sentence. Try saying "agent" a little slower so it gets a chances to catch up after switching to "interpret mode."

Yeah, I remember reading something about how cursing will get you through to an agent faster...

LOL

I find "Live Person" and "Human Being" work on some such systems, too.

It's UPS. I think "fucking agent" is appropriate.
