Here is a letter that I recently sent out to the CNIB and the Québec Human Rights Commission.

I am looking for a Canadian / Québec equivalent of the US Section 508 Web Accessibility laws. If you're unfamiliar with them: http://www.section508.gov/index.cfm?FuseAction=Content&ID=12#Web is a link that shows the type of thing that I'm looking for.

I have found that very few web sites in Canada are accessible to visually impaired (Blind, partial blindness, red/green colour blindness), or to those who use assistive technologies. I have had good success when dealing with US corporations by simply reminding them of the laws that cover them by refering to this document. Do we have any equivalent here?

Tks,
Jeff Bailey

I wonder what sort of response I'll get.
