Time to give blood.
Jan. 18th, 2005 10:39 pmDay two of my new job, so far most of what I'd expect. Time to learn the culture, what's expected, and how it's all done. What was more amusing was that when I was downtown at lunch, I decided to give blood instead of going to the gym, since it was -33°C outside this morning, and walking home with wet hair would've sucked. Usually when I wander in, I come away without donating blood because I've had a vaccine too recently, or have travelled to Brazil too recently, etc... This time I surprisingly enough hadn't had anything to stop me, so for the first time in 12 years, I gave blood.
-- Story editted. Realised it's probably too graphic for planet.debian... -- Suffice it to say that I wound up getting dizzy and getting sent home in a cab and spending the afternoon lying down. But apparently having blood pressure drop and stuff is normal if you haven't given blood in a long time. They'll cheerfully see me again in 56 days.
