Yay! We finally have snow! I took a picture, but need to charge the batteries in order to get it off of the camera. And for that, I need to find the charger in one of these boxes...
It's an odd feeling, realising that this is the last Christmas that Angie and I get calmly to ourselves. Sprout will be ~9 months old next Christmas, certainly old enough to enjoy shiny light s and music and such, even if (s)he* will be unaware of what's actually happening. We've been making the most of being lazy: Sleeping in, reading books, hacking hppa on Feisty... The types of things that a person can enjoy on a lazy day. =)
Moving has been going really well. While we still have a fair bit to unpack, it's past the overwhelming stage. We spent a bit of time this weekend clearing space for things like cooking and walking. We even managed to get a tree up, although the decorations are quite minimal this year.
We have the last of our moving to do today. A last round of a few plants, and a couple breakables that we didn't want handled by the movers. The new subletters show up tomorrow and then we're basically done with the old place.
Everything so far feels like a great close to 2006.
