I'd have to dig the packets out of the garbage. It was something that a lady with dyed hair at the Pharmaprix recommended. It took four packets of stuff mixed with peroxide cream, and it was in for 15 minutes from the end of applying it. Application took a little under 15 minutes.
Being somewhat paranoid about my hair falling out, I didn't want to go further on my first try.
I use Roux White (from Jean Coutu) plus 30-volume cream peroxide. This was recommended by messiahdivine who has been bleaching her hair for years and (in her words) comes from a long line of hairdressers and stylists (though she is not one herself.) You can leave the stuff on for up to 40 minutes, after which nothing useful will be happening anymore.
Out of curiosity, what are you colouring with? IMO your hair looks good but it's not yet mind-blowingly awesome.. you're on the right track though :)
Ah neat. I'll take a look at that for the next round of bleaching. I'm not sure if the right thing is to apply more dye at this point on top of what I have, or to bleach it up again.
I'm using Manic Panic for the dye. It's been recommended to me by a number of people, and has the lovely side effect of keeping me ethically happy (Vegan dyes, "Tested on celebrities, not animals!")
I'm surprised at how it came out. It lightened considerably over the first day. It's a bit brighter than I want, so I might just do another dye round after a wash or two.
I'd say bleach it again - in my experience, it doesn't hurt to bleach dyed hair. But if I were you, I'd definitely pick a strand and try it first.. clearly, you have a lot more to lose than me.
Manic Panic is OK but washes out more quickly than I'd like. On the upside, it's easy to obtain and doesn't stain anything permanently that I've seen (and the vegan thing is a nice bonus.) I'm now using Special Effects, which lasts longer but is more of a pain (my washing machine and bathroom cabinetry are now stained, probably forever.) The main factor in favour of using SFX for me right now is the colour - the current shade I'm using looks better than any of the MP shades AFAICT. So I'll stick with it.
manic panic stays in better the lighter your hair is, the bright colors don't stay bright for long unless you bleach your hair almost white. then it stays for a loong time
Cool. This is the Black and Blue colour, so I didn't think I'd need to bleach that much. I don't mind this lighter colour for now, but I'm curious how it'll look after my shower this morning. =)

If Angie goes into labour tonight, I'll need a toque for the birth photos. =) Round two of the dying will probably be tomorrow.
