... and the packers descended

Our place this morning was so calm and peaceful. Angie was cooking muffins. Then the packers showed up at 8am. It's 2.5 hours later, and we're now surrounded by boxes. In another 24 hours, the computers will be shut down, the cable modem returned, and the moving trucks will show up.
Two weeks ago when we left Montréal for visiting family and going to UbuntuLive, we knew that we only had a couple days left back here, but the reality is now setting in. From here we'll go to Opus, the Unitarian Universalist young adult conference at which we're two of the four cooks. From there, we head south, fetch a rental car, and start our one-way drive out to California.
Crazyness!

Date: 2007-08-08 04:22 am (UTC)I've enjoyed reading your posts about the pride parade. I was in Vancouver last weekend for Krista Drommer's wedding. It would've been too tight to get to both, or I would've enjoyed showing up for the parade. =)
