Opus and ConCentric

Hah! Usually I don't like to post when I'm travelling so that I don't advertise when a good place to break into my house is. But hey, since we don't actually live anywhere anymore...

Angie, Leif and I are at Opus and ConCentric cooking with Chris Wulff and Sera Star! We're having lots of fun. Everyone's giving Leif all the lovin' he wants, and there's still time for both swimming, worships, and all the cooking that needs to happen. After the chaos that was last year's kitchen, it's not hard to improve on it, but I think we're managing to recreate the type of kitchen environments that got me into hanging out in the kitchen in the first place.

I miss lots of you who are usually here but aren't this year. Hugs&Love to y'all!

Hey, this is Allen; I have attempted to send y'all emails but they may or may
not have gone through via connectuu. I procrastinated mightily on applying
to go to Opus this year (I have to apply specifically due to being overage),
partially due to worries about time pressures from trying to finish up my
Ph.D. in September. When I did send something in, I discovered about Michael
Tino no longer being YACM chief (WTF?), which is a definite problem given that I'd
gotten his (verbal) authorization for coming as an assistant gofer for the kitchen
staff et al (in other words, I'd be doing gofer stuff for y'all!).
The person at the UUA who's answering Michael's emails sent back that she didn't
have the authority to say that I could come (which I interpret to mean that
she also doesn't have the authority to say no...), and that she expected that
people wouldn't be in touch from ConCentric/Opus. I don't want to come for
everything, BTW - not for touch groups, and not for worship except for welcoming
people bridging out. But I do want to see people - I promised... and I'll of
course pay full registration fees etcetera (this is for anyone else viewing
this message, incidentally...).

I can't make it for all of Opus, but I should be able to be there from the
evening of the 17th (arriving via Amtrak into Toronto) until the morning of
the 20th or 21st (depending on whether there's an after-Opus party that I'm
attending). I'm needing transportation, etcetera; my email is
