...was brought to you by the letters A, O and K!

Getting the appointment with the oncologist is something we've been trying to do for months. So I'm pleased with the outcome that after the meeting and the review of the scans, she sees no need to radiation and such.

Yay!

Also in the good news category is that she's not seen a genetic component to an osteoblastoma. So while I will have to go for scans every 6 months for the next while and yearly probably forever, there's no need for the kids to do so.

(Oy. Kids. Plural. Still getting used to that...)

As always, thanks everyone for hugs, thoughts, and prayers. Next update: October, when I get an MRI, a bone scan, and have my final visit with this surgeon before the move.

No kidding. I guess this means we really will grow old together...

...in the space of 6 years as we get the second one to 3 or 4 years old. =)

Yeah, I wasn't happy about it. Some of what helped I think was stating my unhappiness in fairly direct terms to my surgeon, and things got expedited from there.

They've otherwise treated me really well through this whole thing and I've come out so much better than I'd hoped at some points. So.. There it is.

Good news!

Wonderful to read the outcome of the oncology report, Jeff. What a relief for you and Angie (and ultimately Leif and the "little one." I loved that "pluralization" piece.)
Love to you all,
Janet and Ernie
