Well, I guess it's time to talk.

I mentioned in my last post some back troubles. These aren't really news - I've had those for a long time. The news is the discovery in early January that there's some sort of growth / lesion / tumour on that spot causing me further problems now.

So I've been for tests. The MRI was a couple weeks ago. The CT scan earlier today. I have an angiogram tomorrow to map it further. The idea in my head was to wait until I had something interesting to tell people. A plan, knowledge, all the rest.

Well, I don't have that yet. But where two days ago, I was thinking that tomorrow was just a day of tests, it seems that as part of the angiogram an embolism is possible - that's where they try to cut off the blood supply to a tumour to make later surgery a bit easier. It carries risks. It carries a night in the ICU and another night in a ward. Surgery would need to follow within two weeks.

So I still have nothing to tell people. I'm used to being one of the ones with the answers handy. I'm obviously a bit nervous, but more in anticipation.

Thoughts and love are appreciated. We get started at 7am pacific.

I've been through angiograms and embolisims for a weird blood vessel growth in my leg at least three times. Are they going in through the femoral artery? I've never had to spend time in the ICU afterwards, but they also weren't messing around near spinal tissue with me either.

I hope everything goes well.
